- Pentaprism:a five sided reflecting prism used to deviate a beam of light by a constant 90 degrees, even if the entry beam is not at 90 degrees to the prism.
- Pellicle mirror: its a super thin and semi transparent mirror that splits light into two different beams, both of reduced light intensity.
- Parallax: a displacement or difference in the apparent position of an object viewed along two different lines of sight, and is measured by the angle or semi-angle of inclination between those two lines.
- Pentax: a brand name used by Pentax Ricoh imaging company for cameras, sport optics& services.
- Aperture: a hole or an opening through which light travels.
2. Shutter: a device that allows light to pass for a
determined period of time, for the purpose of exposing photographic film
or a light sensitive electronic sensor to capture a permanent image of a
scene.
3. Exposure: the amount of light allowed to fall on each area unit of a photographic medium during the process of taking a photograph.
4. Depth of field: refers to the range of distance that appears acceptably sharp.
5. F-stop: dividing the focal length of the lens by the aperture opening the lens.
6. Focal length: an optical system is a measure of how strongly the system converges or diverges light.
