Background: after seeing Michelle, President Obama tripped on the tarmac and slammed on the ground hitting his head. He was flown to the closet hospital for treatment.

Vocabulary:

Depth of Field (shallow and wide): the distance between the nearest and farthest objects in a scene that appear acceptably sharp in an image.


Light (angle and intensity): element that makes things visible.

Shadows: a dark area or shape produced by a body coming between rays of light and a surface.


Diffusion: a refraction of light or an erratic display of light passing through an element (scattering).


Exposure: the amount of light allowed to fall on each area of a photograph.


Aperture: the opening that allows light to pass through a lens and reach the camera sensor.


Shutter Speed: the length of time the shutter of the camera is open.


ISO: the sensitivity to light of a camera's sensor.

  

• Types of lenses:

telephoto: gives you zoom.

prime (fixed lens): lens whose focal length is fixed.

Wide angle: a camera lens having a wider than normal angle of view.

I will remember the trip i took to Longview, Texas to see all my family on my dads side. It was a blast!

The approval of same sex marriage simply because my aunt is gay and i support her 100%.

Chelsea Handler because shes so funny.

 Top 3 Favorite Pictures:

 I really liked this picture because i like the way the lighting is filling in the walls. It looks pretty cool!

I liked this picture because of the angle that the photographer took it at. Also i like whats going on in the picture.

I saved the best for last. i LOVED this picture. I like how you can see the ship in the back, and how unique and different the image is. Its not everyday you see something like this.

In this picture the zebras are trying to cross to the other side. This picture is my favorite because i like the view it was taken from and i like how you see the herd of zebras on the land, then they disappear almost into the water, then they reappear again.

I Think that this picture shows the rule of Framing the best simply because the subject (The Zebras) are in the middle, while the land and everything is more off into the background.

a.     What kind of camera did he use?

He used a Pentax 6711 with only two fixed lenses. 

b.     What is his reason for taking the photos?

My resources say "to record a visually poetic last testament to the wild animals and places there before they are gone at the hands of man."

c.     What is his hope by taking these types of photos?

Like it says above, to record a visually poetic last testament of the animals.

1. What theme that we could take here at school could we do a series of these panels to place around the school?

In the front hanging on that big wall  thats on the upstairs floor looking down on the front doors of the school.
